Job summary

Xcel Energy is looking for a Fleet Asset Manager to design and execute replacement strategies for a diverse fleet, including trucks and heavy equipment. The role requires coordinating budgets, capital forecasts, and supplier relationships to minimize total cost of ownership.

The position oversees a large asset pool, aligns with safety standards, and collaborates across departments to optimize asset deployment and standardization while supporting the company’s energy transition goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field and five years of experience in accounting, finance, supply chain, or business planning/consulting; OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3 years experience in acquisition and disposal of fleet vehicles.
• Mechanical experience beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Manage 1,800 unit fleet of owned and rented assets.
• Validate and manages annual fleet capital and rental proposals.
• Gather functional requirements and facilitates specification approvals with operations partners.
• Collaborate with Fleet Standards & Performance & Fleet Operations team members to maintain standard operating procedures.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with contracted service suppliers.
