Job summary

PetSmart is seeking a Fixtures & Equipment Project Manager for its Phoenix Home Office. The role leads cross-functional fixture projects, from design through installation, partnering with Store Design, Merchandising, Transportation, Procurement, and vendors.

The position requires 4–8 years in retail operations or project management, strong communication, and the ability to manage multiple projects with vendor coordination. Hybrid in-office work with some on-site collaboration is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; project-management experience preferred.
• 4–8 years of retail operations, fixture development, merchandising implementation, or project-management experience.
• Ability to read and evaluate fixture renderings, specifications, prototypes, and engineering/CAD drawings.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-changing environment, producing measurable results and maintaining attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage fixture development from renderings through engineering, CAD drawings, prototype evaluation, and vendor feedback.
• Establish and manage milestones, budgets, schedules, quality expectations, dependencies, and risks for merchandising initiatives.
• Coordinate cross-functional fixture projects across Merchandising, Store Design, Transportation, Procurement, vendors, installers, and leadership.
• Ensure successful implementation with cost efficiency, quality, and on-time delivery while staying within approved scope.
• Maintain primary F&E ownership and provide timely stakeholder communication; monitor vendor performance and deliveries.
• Oversee fixture orders, inventory levels, and replenishment to support existing-store replacements and new-store needs.
• Prepare cost estimates and identify cost-saving opportunities; manage project closeout and documentation.
