Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, architectural or chemical engineering or related discipline.
• Professional engineer (PE) license.
• 7 years of related experience.
• Travel may be required; frequency contingent on duties.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience accepted.

Responsibilities

• Develop fire protection designs including water supply, hydraulics, and sprinkler systems.
• Serve as QFPE for federal projects.
• Ensure designs comply with NFPA, UFC and local codes.
• Collaborate with sales to create proposals and respond to RFPs.
• Mentor junior staff and supervise engineers on project work.
• Review drafts and sign off on completed designs.
