Job summary

Seattle Roots Community Health is seeking a detail-oriented Finance Operations Specialist to support payroll, accounts payable, cash receipts, and related transactional finance activities. This role partners with the Controller and Staff Accountant to ensure accurate, timely processing in line with policies and approvals.

The position focuses on transactional finance operations rather than reconciliations or reporting, with on-site hybrid work at Carolyn Downs Family Medical Center and remote

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• 2–4+ years in payroll, accounts payable, or similar finance operations role.
• Experience with UKG/Kronos and MIP preferred.
• Proficiency in Excel and MS Office; strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Payroll Administration: Process biweekly payroll and maintain timekeeping systems.
• Accounts Payable: Process vendor invoices, coding, approvals, and weekly payments.
• Cash and Payment Support: Track incoming payments and record cash receipts.
• Expense and Credit Card Management: Process reimbursements and maintain documentation.
• Compliance and Documentation: Maintain documentation and support audits.
• Systems and Process Support: Use MIP, UKG/Kronos, and other systems; develop SOPs.
• Collaboration and Team Support: Work with Controller and Staff Accountant; cross-train.
