Quadient in Charlottesville, VA is seeking a Field Service Technician to install, service and upgrade equipment on customer sites, configure hardware and embedded software, and perform routine maintenance.

Role requires 4+ years in electrical/mechanical installation and troubleshooting, a valid driver's license, and the ability to read diagrams; you will train customers and coordinate with teams. We offer hybrid work, learning opportunities, inclusive culture and competitive rewards.

Competenze

• 4+ years of experience in Customer Service or equivalent.
• 4+ years of electrical/mechanical installation, troubleshooting, and repair experience.
• Ability to read technical diagrams, manuals, and schematics.
• Troubleshooting and repairing both hardware and electronic components.

Mansioni

• Install, service or upgrade equipment onsite at customer locations.
• Configure hardware and embedded software components after installation, including advanced configuration.
• Perform routine maintenance on technology equipment and test to troubleshoot issues.
• Diagnose technical issues and identify solutions for effective operation of equipment and controls.
• Provide training to customers on operation and maintenance of products.
• Collaborate with customers to understand requirements and provide recommendations.
• Keep clients informed of progress during maintenance or down-system situations.
• Escalate issues in a timely manner and share knowledge for continuous improvement.
• Maintain tools and equipment used during service calls and manage stock of parts.
