Sierra Spectra is seeking a Field Services Engineer to install, configure, and qualify LC/MS, GC/MS, TOC, and UV-Vis systems at client facilities in the Greater San Francisco Bay Area. Qualifications

• Field Service experience with complex laboratory or analytical instrumentation.
• Strong troubleshooting and technical support skills for diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and application issues.
• Proficiency in preventive maintenance practices to sustain instrument reliability, performance, and compliance.
• Customer service skills to communicate clearly, manage expectations, and build trusted relationships with laboratory personnel.
• Knowledge of analytical technologies such as LC/MS, GC/MS, TOC, and UV-Vis, and familiarity with IQ/OQ/PQ and regulatory compliance concepts.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, chemistry, physics, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Ability to work independently in the field, manage schedules, and produce clear service reports and documentation.
• Comfort with local travel across the San Francisco Bay Area as well as travel to areas outside of California and adherence to safe working practices in lab environments.
