Job summary

Xcel Energy in Wisconsin is seeking a Standard Operations Planner to coordinate daily work plans across multiple crews. You will assign resources, manage the queue, and ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance while optimizing crew utilization.

This hybrid role typically involves on-site collaboration with front-line leaders and stakeholders. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, 5+ years in construction/maintenance, and a BA/related degree preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's preferred in Business Admin, Construction Management or related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with excellent written and verbal communication.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel or similar spreadsheet tools; ability to retrieve and manipulate data.

Responsibilities

• Adjust planned schedules daily and assign crews for priority tasks based on resources and real-time progress.
• Review incoming work packets and manage exceptions outside the normal scheduling window.
• Coordinate equipment, prerequisites, and materials to enable on-time work execution and ready-for-work checks.
• Ensure the work acceptance process is completed and communicate changes to stakeholders to avoid delays.
• Triage rejections and adjust schedules to maintain promised start dates; communicate updates to crews and leaders.
