Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Food and Beverage Manager to lead all hotel dining operations in Welkom. This hybrid role combines on-site leadership with remote oversight of menu development, inventory, and financial planning to deliver exceptional dining experiences across all outlets.

You will manage budgets, control costs, recruit and mentor chefs, servers, and bartenders, and build strong supplier relationships while ensuring health and safety standards and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years in progressive F&B management, preferably in a hotel.
• Strong financial acumen with P&L experience.
• Proven leadership and team-building skills.
• Creative menu development and culinary innovation.
• Hybrid work model capability balancing on-site and remote planning.
• Knowledge of health, safety, and local regulations.
• Proficiency with F&B management software and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the F&B department, including restaurants, bars, and banqueting.
• Develop and implement innovative menus that align with market trends and guest preferences.
• Manage F&B budgets, forecasts, and financial controls, including P&L responsibility.
• Ensure high standards of food quality, presentation, and service delivery.
• Recruit, train, motivate, and manage F&B staff to ensure optimal performance.
• Implement inventory management and cost control procedures.
• Maintain health, safety, and sanitation compliance.
• Develop and execute marketing and promotional strategies for F&B outlets.
• Build relationships with suppliers for quality ingredients and competitive pricing.
• Monitor customer satisfaction and implement service recovery measures.
