Job summary

Pittsburgh Community Broadcasting Corporation (PCBC) is seeking an Events Manager to lead planning, production, and execution of a diverse range of live events across our stations and community partners in the Pittsburgh region.

You'll manage artist booking, budgets, venue coordination, and vendor relationships, collaborating across departments to deliver engaging experiences that support our public media mission. Evening/weekend work required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in live event planning, production, or management.
• 2+ years of experience managing event production budgets.
• Experience booking talent, negotiating contracts, and coordinating with venues and vendors.
• Strong knowledge of Pittsburgh's live music, entertainment, and events community.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with event management, collaboration, and social media tools.
• Availability to work evenings and weekends as events require.
• Ability to assist with physical event setup and teardown, including lifting and transporting equipment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee development and production of high-quality live events.
• Manage event logistics, budgets, venue coordination, and on-site operations.
• Book talent and negotiate contracts for PCBC, WYEP, and WESA events.
• Collaborate across departments and with community partners.
• Maintain event calendars, staffing, teardown, and post-event evaluation.
