Job summary

Kansas State University Olathe campus is seeking an Event Services Assistant to support the Event Manager in coordinating meetings, conferences, educational programs, and special events with hospitality-focused service. Hybrid eligible.

The role handles room preparation, catering, and on-site operations, maintains reservations in EMS, and communicates professionally with clients, guests, vendors, and campus partners to ensure successful events.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of relevant experience.
• Experience may be met via combination of work and education.
• Preferred: hospitality, catering or events experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Publisher).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily event details and logistics.
• Prepare rooms and coordinate catering and beverage services.
• Maintain reservations and event information in EMS; track deadlines and changes.
• Provide professional hospitality-focused communication and support for clients, guests, vendors, and campus partners.
• Support on-site event operations and handle routine event needs.
