Job summary

American Century Investments is seeking an experienced Event Planner to support planning and execution of client, corporate, and employee events, including the marquee American Century Championship. The role requires coordinating details across teams, managing registrations, and ensuring a high-quality attendee experience.

Hybrid work from our Kansas City, MO office is expected. The candidate will collaborate with senior planners, vendors, and internal partners, and will assist with on-site

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in event management, hospitality, marketing, communications, business, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum five years of experience supporting meetings, events, hospitality programs, marketing initiatives, client programs, or related projects.
• Strong organization and attention to detail with ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills including proofreading.
• Collaborative, client-focused approach when working with senior planners, internal partners, vendors, and attendees.

Responsibilities

• Support planning and execution of client, corporate, and employee events, including marquee American Century Championship.
• Coordinate event details across departments to ensure on-schedule delivery.
• Manage registrations, guest communications, and attendee records.
• Assist with hotel, transportation, and on-site logistics.
• Support vendor and venue coordination, budgeting, and post-event documentation.
• Contribute to post-event evaluation and continuous improvement.
