The University of Colorado Anschutz on hybrid CU Anschutz Campus in Aurora, CO invites applications for an Event Manager. This full-cycle role leads orientations, convocation, and donor-sponsored lectures, coordinating with central offices, campus partners, and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities include end-to-end event life-cycle management, vendor relations, risk and compliance, and post-event evaluation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, business administration, finance, accounting, education, social sciences, healthcare administration, public administration, communications, information systems or related field.
• 4–6 years of event coordination/management experience.
• Substitution: education + related experience may substitute for degree on year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and execute a wide range of school-wide and central administration events; develop event concepts and run-of-show plans.
• Manage logistics independently: venue, catering, decor, volunteers, scheduling, registrations, communications, and paperwork.
• Serve as primary contact for vendors, partners, sponsors, and internal stakeholders; coordinate with Marketing/Communications for promotion.
• Negotiate contracts, manage budgets, track expenses, and process payments; ensure safety and compliance.
• Execute on-site operations: setup, vendor coordination, teardown; conduct post-event evaluations and reports.
