University of Colorado Anschutz is seeking an Event Manager to lead planning, coordination, and execution of a broad range of school-wide and administrative events. The role requires managing all logistics, vendor relations, and post-event evaluations across internal and external stakeholders.

The position reports to the Assistant Dean of Operations and is based on the CU Anschutz Campus in Aurora with a hybrid on-site work arrangement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, business administration, finance, accounting, education, social sciences, healthcare administration, public administration, communications, information systems or a directly related field from an accredited institution.
• 4-6 years of specified experience in event planning/coordination or related field.

Responsabilités

• Plan, design, and execute a wide range of school-wide and central administration events, including lectures, donor gatherings, workshops, community events, and internal gatherings.
• Manage logistics independently: venue selection, catering, coordination with IT, décor, volunteers, scheduling, registrations, communications, attendee engagement, and setup/takedown.
• Serve as primary contact for vendors, partners, sponsors, and internal stakeholders; coordinate with central office for event promotion.
• Negotiate contracts, manage budgets, track expenses, and ensure safe, compliant event delivery.
• Execute on-site operations, post-event evaluations, and documented timelines and checklists for consistency and sustainability.
