PAE CONSULTING ENGINEERS INC in San Francisco seeks an Entry-Level Mechanical Engineer to join our design team in a hybrid office setting. You will start building foundational skills in HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Protection under project leads.

You will learn to design system layouts, run basic thermal simulations, read drawings, and navigate building codes, gaining practical experience on real projects. This role supports career growth through mentorship and hands-on assignments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering required, discipline unspecified.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) or ability to obtain within reasonable time.
• Internship experience preferred for practical exposure.
• Proficiency with Revit/AutoCAD, TRACE and IES expected.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Develop understanding of mechanical system design, modeling and documentation.
• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD as design/drafting tools.
• Grow ability to read plans and learn building codes."
• Provide task-based support for HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Protection and energy modeling.
• Learn drawings, specifications, and mechanical industry standards.
• Complete assigned work with supervision from project teams.
• Assist with construction administration tasks.
• Perform mechanical calculations and simulations.
• Design layout of mechanical systems.
