Job summary

PAE is seeking an Entry-Level Mechanical Engineer to join our design team in a hybrid office environment in Seattle. This role offers a foundation in building systems including HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Protection, under guidance from experienced project leads.

You will learn to design system layouts, perform thermal simulations, read plans, and progress toward professional credentials such as EIT while using Revit and AutoCAD. This is a great start for growth at PAE.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) or ability to obtain.
• Internship experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop understanding of mechanical system design, modeling and documentation.
• Develop proficiency using Revit and AutoCAD as design/drafting tools.
• Grow in the ability to read plans.
• Provide task-based support for engineering distribution, HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Protection and Energy Modeling.
• Understand drawings, specifications, building codes, and mechanical industry standards.
• Complete assigned work with instruction from project team members.
• Assist with construction administration.
• Perform mechanical calculations and performance simulations.
