Job summary

PAE CONSULTING ENGINEERS INC is seeking an Entry-Level Mechanical Engineer to join our Seattle design team in a hybrid office environment. You will build a foundation in building systems including HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Protection, under guidance from experienced project leads, translating theory into practical design and simulations.

You'll develop skills in Revit/AutoCAD, learn to read plans, and support engineering distribution, energy modeling, and codes compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering required.
• EIT or ability to obtain.
• Internship experience preferred.
• Ability to develop understanding of Revit/AutoCAD, TRACE, IES.
• Strong analytical skills and clear communication.
• Organized with attention to detail and good time management.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Develop understanding of mechanical system design, modeling and documentation.
• Develop proficiency using Revit and AutoCAD as design/drafting tools.
• Read drawings with growing proficiency.
• Provide task-based support for HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Protection and Energy Modeling.
• Understand drawings, specs, codes, and industry standards.
• Complete assigned work with guidance from project team.
• Assist with construction administration.
• Perform mechanical calculations and simulations.
• Design layout of mechanical systems.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
