Job summary

PAE is seeking an Entry-Level Electrical Engineer for a hybrid position in our Boston office. You will learn electrical system design for the built environment under mentorship, focusing on distribution, lighting and technology systems using Revit and AutoCAD.

You’ll model loads and analyze codes while supporting project teams to develop technical mastery. Open to someone with a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and E.I.T eligibility or internship experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
• Engineer in Training (E.I.T.) or ability to obtain
• Internship experience preferred.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with Revit/AutoCAD; knowledge of Easy Power is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop an understanding of electrical system design, modeling and documentation.
• Develop proficiency using Revit and AutoCAD as design/drafting tools.
• Grow in the ability to read plans.
• Provide task-based support for engineering distribution, lighting, power, and technology systems.
• Develop an understanding of specifications, building codes and electrical industry standards.
• Model distribution Load Flow, Short Circuit and Arc Flash Energy using Easy Power.
• Perform electrical load calculations.
• Research codes and undertake code compliance analysis.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
