Job summary

Minitab is seeking a motivated and goal-oriented Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our growing sales organization in State College, PA. This is an entry-level role designed for individuals looking to build a career in technology sales within a supportive and highly collaborative environment.

As a BDR, you will generate pipeline and revenue opportunities within an assigned region, qualifying inbound leads and outbound campaigns, with mentorship and ongoing coaching to advance to

Qualifications

• Associate degree (college/technical) or equivalent required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Desire to pursue a career in sales, with a willingness to learn and be coached.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, IT, or related field preferred.
• Prior customer-facing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Engage with inbound leads to assess needs and interest in Minitab solutions.
• Conduct outbound prospecting to targeted accounts via phone, email, and campaigns.
• Qualify prospects based on fit, need, and readiness to move into the sales pipeline.
• Build and maintain relationships with future buyers for long-term nurturing.
• Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to improve lead quality and conversions.
• Maintain accurate activity and prospect data in CRM tools.
• Work toward monthly and quarterly goals related to lead qualification and pipeline.
