Job summary

MSCCN is seeking an IT Network Engineer in Shirley, NY for a hybrid work arrangement. The role focuses on designing, implementing, and supporting our enterprise network infrastructure across multiple sites, with emphasis on security, reliability and scalability.

You will work with WAN/LAN, VPNs, data center connectivity, voice systems, and firewalls, collaborating with Cybersecurity and IT teams to deliver robust network services. Relevant Cisco/Palo Alto certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in networking engineering, network administration, or a related IT infrastructure role.
Mastery level of Cisco and Palo Alto networking equipment; CCNP/CCSP and related certifications are recommended.
Hands-on experience configuring and troubleshooting LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, VLANs, routing, and switching.
Experience with network equipment such as Cisco, Aruba, Fortinet, or equivalent.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, maintain and monitor enterprise network infrastructure across locations.
Configure and administer Nexus/Catalyst core switches, WAN with MPLS and IPsec.
Manage Cisco Voice systems (CUCM/CUC/CUCX) and corporate firewalls (ASA, Palo Alto).
Support and administer routers, switches, firewalls, wireless controllers and VPN solutions.
Maintain network diagrams, standards, procedures, and technical documentation.
Participate in on-call support and incident response activities.
