Job summary

Confidential in the NYC tri-state area is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to design, deploy, and maintain enterprise WAN/LAN across multi-tenant environments and multi-cloud platforms.

The role emphasizes network automation (Ansible), AWS networking, and Kubernetes/Linux compute platforms, with on-call responsibilities and hybrid work options. A decade of hands-on WAN/LAN experience is required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on experience deploying and managing enterprise-scale WAN/LAN architectures.
• Deep understanding of Layer 2/3 routing, multi-site VPNs, SD-WAN, MPLS, VPLS, and multicast protocols (IGMP, PIM).
• Strong hands-on expertise with Juniper JunOS (SRX, EX, QFX).
• Experience with Cisco IOS/ASA and Linux (RHEL-based) environments preferred.
• Solid background in enterprise Wi‑Fi architectures (802.11ax/be), RADIUS, and AAA accounting.
• Demonstrated experience with AWS cloud networking, KVM virtualization, and Jira workflows.

Responsibilities

• Architecture & Infrastructure: Design, build, and maintain multi-tenant enterprise network architecture.
• Network Automation & Monitoring: Build and optimize end-to-end network automation platforms (e.g., Ansible) and proactive monitoring.
• Cloud & Virtualization: Maintain and scale AWS-based cloud networking environments, Linux/KVM, Kubernetes, and containerized compute platforms.
• Upgrades & Vendor Management: Partner with service providers to upgrade hardware/software and automate client provisioning.
• Operations: Participate in day-to-day network operations and on-call rotation.
