Job summary

The Fresh Air Fund is seeking an Enrollment Operations Associate to support the enrollment team in managing the application process for families registering for summer programs. This part-time, at-will role runs November 2026 through March 2027 with potential extension and is primarily based in the NYC office and nearby field work.

Responsibilities include reviewing applications, communicating with families and partners, and assisting with information sessions and recruitment events.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years of age.
• Strong organizational skills and detail oriented.
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
• Comfort speaking with families and professionals alike
• Patient and friendly, with a high degree of professionalism.
• Ability to work quickly and accurately.
• Bilingual abilities a plus (e.g. Spanish, Mandarin, ASL).
• Vaccination requirements may apply per policy.

Responsibilities

• Assist with application review and completion processing.
• Review applications for children with additional needs or special circumstances.
• Communicate with families, guardians, and outreach partners about the process.
• Assist parents to complete applications by contacting teachers or service providers.
• Handle a high volume of calls about programs and status.
• Support information sessions and orientation.
• Support recruitment events and community partner materials.
• Travel to NYC boroughs as needed.
