Job summary

The Fresh Air Fund is seeking an Enrollment Operations Associate to support the Enrollment team under the Director of Enrollment and Outreach Manager. This part-time, at-will position runs from November 2026 through March 2027 with potential extension based on needs.

You will handle application processing and communicate with NYC families to ensure timely completion of child applications. Based in NYC with some field work and occasional remote work, the role requires strong organization,

Responsibilities

• Assist with application review and completion processing.

• Manage a high volume of phone calls regarding summer programs, application process and child application status.
• Communicate and assist parents with completing applications in person and over the phone.
• Assist with conducting virtual/ in-person information and orientation sessions regarding summer programs.
• Implement department recruitment strategies, which may include: prepare materials for community partners and recruitment events.
• Staff events and tabling at various agencies.
• Might require travelling to different boroughs within New York City by public transportation.
• Other duties as assigned.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Fresh Air Fund is recruiting Enrollment Operations Associates to work on the Enrollment team under the supervision of the Director of Enrollment and Outreach Manager. Enrollment Operations Associates will assist with all aspects of the application process for families to register for our summer programs. This is a part-time “at-will” position for the period November 2026 through March 2027, with the potential for extension based on organizational needs.

The Enrollment Operations Associate will help with all aspects of the application process including communication with NYC parents to complete child applications.

• As part of our commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy workplace, The Fresh Air Fund requires all employees to meet applicable vaccination requirements in accordance with federal, state, and local laws. As new public health issues arise, The Fresh Air Fund may require additional vaccinations. Proof of vaccination or an approved exemption will be required as a condition of employment, if applicable.

This role will primarily be in the NYC Office and in the field, with occasional remote work.

Hours per Week: 20-25 hours per week, from November 23, 2026, through March 5th, 2027

Working Hours: Staff will be assigned work hours that fall between 9am-7pm, Monday – Friday. It may require evening and weekend hours as needed.

Compensation: $18/hour

Employment Status: Part-Time, non-exempt, “at-will”
