DLA Piper seeks a junior associate to join its Corporate practice, focusing on energy, infrastructure, and corporate transactions. Ideal candidates will have experience advising sponsors, developers, investors, and financial institutions on complex transactions including M&A, project development, and project finance. Preference for candidates from top law schools with strong drafting and negotiation skills.

Open to all U.S. offices, with a preference for San Diego or New York.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to practice in California.
• 1–3 years of corporate, energy, or infrastructure transactional experience.
• Experience with M&A, project development, project finance, and joint venture transactions.

Responsibilities

• Legal research to support transaction preparation and strategy.
• Draft memos, contracts, and correspondence.
• Assist/manage complex corporate, energy, or infrastructure transactions from inception to closing.
• Build and maintain client relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
