Job summary

Hunt Electric, a Limited Energy contracting company, is seeking a Purchasing Manager to lead a team of buyers, develop procurement strategies, and support centralized purchasing initiatives. The role reports to the VP of Purchasing and centers on securing quality materials at optimal prices while building strong supplier relationships.

Qualifications

• Degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, electrical, manufacturing or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management within the Limited Energy construction industry.
• Proven track record of successful supplier negotiations and cost management.
• Strong understanding of electrical components and manufacturing processes.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train and mentor a team of buyers and guide procurement best practices.
• Foster a collaborative and productive work environment aligned with organizational objectives.
• Work with VP of Purchasing on supplier vetting and relationships locally and nationally.
• Evaluate supplier performance and recommend improvements.
• Develop and execute procurement strategies supporting Centralized Purchasing and project timelines.
