Ameren Illinois is seeking a Customer Service Representative for a hybrid work model in a 24/7 contact center environment. You will handle service requests, explain billing, and assist customers with payments and programs.

The role emphasizes teamwork, accuracy, and strong math/computer skills, with shifts awarded by seniority. Required: high school diploma or equivalent; beneficial: bachelor's or associate's degree and prior call center experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's or Associate's degree preferred.
• Excellent math and computer skills required.
• Customer service experience in banking, telephone, collections, insurance or related areas preferred.
• Previous call center experience strongly preferred.

Responsabilités

• Handle customer requests such as service initiations and terminations, meter installations/removals, gas leaks, electric outages, etc.
• Explain policies and respond to inquiries concerning billing rates and payment plans.
• Arrange payment transactions such as payment agreements and extensions.
• Inform customers of programs like budget billing and automatic bill payment.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and document pertinent information.
• Contribute to team and contact center assignments including overtime.
