Job summary

Boulder County’s Department of Human Services is hiring several Human Services Eligibility Technician B staff to join our Ongoing, Intake, and Lobby teams. These positions process public assistance programs and conduct interviews to determine eligibility in a high-volume, hybrid environment.

As a Technician B, you will gather information, assist applicants with forms, explain program requirements, and enter data into CBMS to process eligibility for Medical Assistance, SNAP and cash programs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of experience working with the public.
• Background check required.

Responsibilities

• Gathers and reviews financial, household, and other eligibility information from applicants (all teams).
• Assists applicants in completing forms and securing documents and verifications (all teams).
• Explains ongoing program requirements, benefits, responsibilities, and appeal rights (all teams).
• Enters and verifies applicant and case data in CBMS and related systems (all teams).
• Processes changes and recertifications for Medical, SNAP and cash programs (Ongoing team).
• Screens, accepts, and routes paperwork to appropriate teams (Lobby team).
• Triages mail and email submissions (Lobby team).
