Job summary

JB&B in New York is seeking a technically skilled Project Engineer to join our Electrical Department. You will manage electrical engineering projects from design through completion, coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams and communicating with clients to ensure technical excellence and financial performance.

The role emphasizes leading design on tenant fit-out and base-building upgrades, preparing contract documents, and ensuring schedules stay on track.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering is required.
• 3–6 years of experience in electrical project engineering or related field.
• Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate across disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Lead design on tenant fit-out projects and base building upgrades.
• Prepare contract documents including floor plans and riser diagrams.
• Develop design criteria from proposals and assemble basis of design documents.
• Coordinate with clients and teams to meet schedule and budget.
• Review shop drawings, RFIs, and change orders; perform site visits.
• Develop project schedules with resource planning to meet deadlines.
