Job summary

Matrix Technologies, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Power Engineer for a hybrid role based out of the Kansas City office.

The engineer will perform electrical engineering tasks with supervision and may serve as the sole power engineer or work with a team depending on project size and complexity. Qualified candidates will have experience in electrical power system design, analysis, and related standards; a ABET-accredited degree is required, and a PE is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Technology from an ABET-accredited college or university.
• Minimum 4–10 years of electrical engineering industrial experience.
• PE license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Understand NEC applications to designs and deliverables.
• Design low-voltage power distribution including feeders, lighting, and equipment.
• Develop conduit/tray routing and wire/cable pull schedules.
• Perform load calculations, short circuit analysis, arc flash studies, and protective device coordination.
• Review and update SLDs, power system drawings, and documentation.
• Coordinate with design teams to produce electrical construction drawings.
