Job summary

VAA is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design power systems for industrial facilities, including seed oil, specialty chemical, grain handling, and feed mills. The role supports preconstruction estimates, design for green energy solutions, and coordination with multiple disciplines.

This hybrid position offers travel up to 5% to construction sites and opportunities to contribute to a growing firm known for its engineering, planning and design expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
• 3+ years of experience.
• PE is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Develop design solutions in a team setting using engineering fundamentals.
• Prepare high-quality design documents including calculations, drawings and specifications.
• Review project documents for quality and coordination across disciplines.
• Communicate concepts and options to inform sound decisions.
• Support peers and junior engineers through mentorship.
• Travel up to 5% to construction job sites.
• Write proposals and assist with project fee estimation.
