VAA is a growing engineering firm seeking an Electrical Engineer to design electrical power distribution, grounding, raceway and lighting systems for commercial buildings and facilities. The role emphasizes delivering high-quality engineering services rooted in fundamentals, codes, and teamwork.

The candidate should have a PE license with 8+ years of experience, a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, and the ability to contribute to projects with leadership and mentorship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering is required.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) with 8+ years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Propel the success of the company through your technical expertise and professional conduct.
• Lead people (direct and indirect reports) and execute safe and constructable technical design scopes.
• Maintain discipline-specific project scope, schedules and budgets for individual projects and coordinate with disciplines to ensure successful project delivery.
• Identify and reliably assess design options in the preliminary phase to inform sound decision-making by the project team and/or client.
• Communicate concepts effectively and manage client relationships as primary technical contact on projects.
• Perform site visits/observations and prepare, review, and execute proposals.
