Glumac, a Tetra Tech company, seeks an Electrical Designer in San Francisco, CA to drive technical excellence on diverse projects. You will transform concepts into constructible electrical solutions and support multidisciplinary teams using advanced design and BIM tools.

The role emphasizes collaboration, problem solving, and hands-on design from concept to construction, with a hybrid work model requiring two in-office days weekly in San Francisco.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as an MEP Designer in the building construction industry.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering.
• Proficiency in REVIT.
• Must be located within a commutable distance of the San Francisco, CA office.
• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; no visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Design and plan electrical power systems for commercial, advanced technology, mission critical, education, government, healthcare, science & technology projects.
• Design and specification of power and control systems, layouts, load calculations, equipment sizing, and lighting controls.
• Collaborate with architects, outside consultants, code officials, and contractors.
• Coordinate with internal disciplines to produce a cohesive design.
• Perform load calculations, equipment sizing, and equipment selection.
• Support electrical code research for project-specific issues.
• Assist with construction administration tasks including RFIs and submittals.
• Interface with code officials and contractors as needed.
• Work with project teams from concept through construction.
