Job summary

Glumac, a Tetra Tech Company, is seeking an Electrical Designer in our Sacramento, CA office. You will contribute to design and constructible electrical solutions, working with multidisciplinary teams to bring projects from concept through construction.

This role offers a hybrid work arrangement with two in-office days per week. A strong emphasis on REVIT design, load calculations, and coordination with architects and engineers is essential.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as an MEP Designer in the building construction industry.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering.
• Proficiency in REVIT.
• Must be located within a commutable distance of the Sacramento, CA office.
• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis; this position is not eligible for current or future employment visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Design and plan electrical power systems for diverse project types (commercial, education, government, healthcare, etc.).
• Design and specification of power and control systems, layouts, load calculations, and equipment sizing.
• Collaborate with architects, consultants, code officials, and contractors.
• Perform load calculations and equipment selection.
• Support electrical code research and construction administration tasks (RFIs, submittals).
• Interface with code officials and project teams from concept through construction.
