Job summary

P2S|CMTA is seeking an Entry-Level Electrical Design Engineer to support pre-design and design phases for commercial, institutional, and healthcare projects in Long Beach, CA. You will work under senior engineers, gaining hands‑on exposure to electrical building systems, calculations, diagrams, and power distribution.

This position offers growth opportunities and a hybrid schedule. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, is eligible for EIT, and is familiar with

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering field
• Engineer-In-Training (EIT) Certification preferred or ability to obtain
• LEED Accreditation is a plus
• Membership in professional engineering associations is a plus

Responsibilities

• Support both the pre-design and design phases of commercial, institutional, and healthcare building projects under guidance from experienced engineers
• Assist with electrical calculations, single‑line diagrams, load schedules, lighting systems, and power distribution design
• Gain experience using industry‑standard software tools, supporting power system studies, and delivering high-quality engineering solutions
