Sargent & Lundy is seeking a drafting professional to join the Energy & Industrial Group in a hybrid role based in the Chicago area. You will participate in multi-disciplined teams, developing design drawings from input and applying CAD skills in AutoCAD 3D and MicroStation.

You will produce scaled drawings showing installations and coordinates with facilities. You may accompany senior designers on client walkdowns.

Formación

• Essential skills and experience:
• Associate's Degree in drafting, or a high school diploma and equivalent technical design experience.
• Six (6) or more years of physical design experience including experience in the development of grounding layouts, underground duct bank and embedded conduit drawings, cable tray and exposed conduit layouts, and electrical equipment location drawings.
• Advanced drafting experience using standard computer drafting tools (i.e. AutoCAD or MicroStation).
• Ability to visualize parts in 3D without the aid of the computer
• Ability to multi-task from project to project.

Responsabilidades

• Utilize and expand drafting skills in a multi-disciplined team to prepare design drawings from input.
• Apply CAD skills with hands-on training in 3D environments such as AutoCAD 3D and/or MicroStation.
• Create drawings to scale showing relation of proposed installations to existing facilities and exact specs.
• Accompany and assist experienced designers on client walkdowns to gather information.
• Explain drawings to vendors and contractors for design adjustments.
