Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking an entry‑level electrical drafter in Warrenville, IL, to join a multi‑discipcled design team. The position offers a hybrid schedule with a mix of office and remote work.

You will develop design drawings from input, apply CAD skills in AutoCAD 3D or MicroStation, and receive training in S&L’s proprietary design databases while creating master sketches to scale. You may accompany experienced designers on client walkdowns and work with vendors to ensure drawings and

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree with emphasis in electrical drafting.
• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD or MicroStation.
• Ability to visualize parts in 3D without the aid of the computer.
• Ability to multi-task from project to project.

Responsibilities

• Prepare design drawings in a multi-disciplined team environment.
• Apply CAD skills with 3D training in AutoCAD/MicroStation.
• Create master sketches to scale showing installations and dimensions.
• Assist experienced designers on client walkdowns to gather information.
• Explain drawings to vendors/contractors for design adjustments.
