Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking an EI&C Drafter to prepare CAD-based mechanical and electrical drawings for engineering projects. The role combines office drafting with field measurements and client site interactions, under supervision and within project deadlines.

The position requires strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work flexibly in a hybrid environment. Proficiency in CAD tools and MS Office is essential, with travel as needed for client meetings and site visits.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in CAD Technology preferred.
• Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, CAD and other job related software.
• Ability to travel as necessary for client meetings and site visits.

Responsibilities

• Provide general drafting CAD-based mechanical and electrical drawings for projects.
• Work under general direction with project deadlines and budgets in mind.
• Use company drafting standards and adhere to plans and schedules.
• Perform fieldwork: take measurements, locate tie-ins, as-built existing systems.
• Maintain effective communication with project team members and stakeholders.
• Support other drafters to ensure timely design deliverables.
