Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a drafting professional to join a multi-disciplinary team focused on preparing design drawings from design input. The role blends office work with field walkdowns and hands-on CAD exposure in 3D design software environments.

You will contribute to master sketches that show installation relationships and exact specifications, collaborating with designers and engineers to refine drawings for client projects.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or high school diploma with equivalent design experience is required.
• 5+ years drafting experience using standard computer drafting tools such as MicroStation.
• Ability to visualize parts in 3D without CAD assistance.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing design drawings based on input from designers and engineers.
• Work in a multi-disciplined team environment to develop master sketches to scale.
• Apply CAD skills and participate in training for 3D software environments.
• accompany and assist experienced designers on client facility walkdowns to gather information.
• Explain drawings to vendors and construction contractors to support design adjustments.
