Job summary

Sauk County is seeking an Economic Support Specialist to determine eligibility for Food Share, Medicaid, Badger Care Plus, Caretaker Supplement, and Wisconsin Shares Child Care Subsidies within the Human Services team. You will interview applicants, review data, apply state policies, and assist clients with paperwork across in-person, phone, or electronic channels.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Associate’s degree in Business or related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interview applicants to determine eligibility for benefits and assist with filling out paperwork.
• Review client data to determine continued program and benefit eligibility.
• Answer calls and address client issues with high level customer service.
• Assist non-English speaking clients with their needs using interpreters.
• Represent the agency at administrative hearings.
