Hoosier Energy is seeking an Economic Development Manager to drive economic development initiatives in its service area. This hybrid remote role involves coordinating programs, partnering with member systems and local officials, and promoting sites ready for industry relocation.

The role emphasizes strategic planning, data collection, and presenting proposals to support infrastructure and community development. A strong background in marketing/economics and 5 years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Economics, Engineering or related area required.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive economic development experience.
• Strong communication, teamwork and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Organize, control and coordinate program activities in economic development initiatives.
• Promote and support site development, infrastructure and project financing with local stakeholders.
• Research and advise on new business ventures and economic development techniques and technologies.
• Provide training and consultative services to general managers and staff for objectives and activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
