Job summary

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services is seeking an Early Intervention Service Coordinator to support infants and toddlers and empower families as their child’s first teachers.

You will collaborate with families and multi-disciplinary teams to develop IFSPs, coordinate services, conduct home visits, and monitor early intervention supports to ensure quality and continuity.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children age 0–5 and their families, including those with developmental delays.
• Knowledge of young child development and milestones.
• Experience collaborating with families and other professionals.
• Knowledge of evidence-based practices used with young children and families (natural learning environment, caregiver coaching).
• Fluency in a second language.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with families and teams to develop Functional IFSPs.
• Coordinate services across speech, OT, and PT.
• Conduct home visits to guide and coordinate care.
• Arrange and monitor early intervention services for continuity and quality.
• Plan for smooth transition to services at age three.
