The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services is seeking an Early Intervention Service Coordinator to support infants and toddlers and empower families as their child’s first teachers.
You will collaborate with families and multi-disciplinary teams to develop IFSPs, coordinate services, conduct home visits, and monitor early intervention supports to ensure quality and continuity.

Early Intervention Service Coordinators (EISCs) are the heart of the Early Intervention system! They play a vital role in supporting children in the NC Infant-Toddler Program and empowering families as their child’s first and most important teachers. Research shows that birth to age three is a critical period for building family competence and confidence—offering a powerful opportunity to positively influence a child’s development and learning.

Salary Range: $35,984 - $62,971
Recruitment Range: $35,984 - $55,224

The North Carolina Early Intervention Section is a part of the Division of Child and Family Well-Being. It is the lead agency for the N.C. Infant-Toddler Program which provides supports and services for families and their children, birth to three, who have developmental delays and/or disabilities. Children's Developmental Services Agencies (CDSAs) are the local agencies that implement the NC ITP across North Carolina, working with local service providers to help families help their children succeed.
This Early Intervention Service Coordinator position is located at the Children’s Developmental Services Agency of WNC.

Minimum Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Elementary Education or Early Childhood Education, Psychology from an appropriately accredited institution and two years of professional experience working with the population served; OR Bachelor’s degree in human services field from an appropriately accredited institution and three years of professional experience working with the population served; OR An equivalent combination of education and experience.
