Job summary

Hubbard Street Dance Chicago is seeking an experienced Individual Giving Manager to lead the Development Team in achieving annual fundraising goals. The role focuses on managing the individual giving program and serving as a dynamic gift officer, engaging Chicago’s philanthropic community while supporting the company’s mission.

This hybrid position requires collaboration with Artistic, Production, Education, and Marketing teams.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 3–5 years in nonprofit fundraising.
• Experience with direct donor solicitation and stewardship.
• Knowledge of Chicago’s arts/philanthropic environment and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Make 15 documented weekly contacts with prospective and current donors via in‑person meetings, phone, and email to advance them to higher commitments.
• Directly solicit donors across all levels, including major gifts, circles, and sustainer gifts.
• Curate cultivation, stewardship, recognition, and engagement opportunities for donors in collaboration with leadership.
• Develop and manage multi‑channel fundraising strategies, including scheduling, project management, data structures, and segmentation.
• Pull lists/reports from Tessitura to analyze data and guide departmental strategy.
