Hubbard Street Dance Chicago is seeking an experienced Individual Giving Manager to lead the Development Team in achieving annual fundraising goals. The role focuses on managing the individual giving program and serving as a dynamic gift officer, engaging Chicago’s philanthropic community while supporting the company’s mission.
This hybrid position requires collaboration with Artistic, Production, Education, and Marketing teams.

Hubbard Street Dance Chicago is seekingan experienced fundraisingprofessional to join the Development Team.TheIndividual GivingManagerhelps lead acollaborative team to meet or exceedannual fundraisinggoals, managesHubbardStreet’s individual giving program, and serves asa dynamicgiftofficer.This highlyvisiblerole engagesChicago’s philanthropicand arts communitieswhile supporting the work of a leading contemporary dance companyapproaching its 50thanniversary season.
Hubbard Street is a hybrid work environment. The DevelopmentTeamconducts day-to-day operations remotelybetween9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., andteam membersare encouragedto work inperson 1–2 days per week.In-person attendanceisrequiredforperformances, events, andmeetingsorprojects as needed.Onaverage,HSDC hostsonefundraiserperyear,approximately10–15cultivationandstewardship events,andthreeperformance series in thefall, spring, and winter.
SALARY AND BENEFITS:
$65,000 per year

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
FUNDRAISING
Make15documented weekly contacts with prospective and current donors through in-person meetings, phone,and email seeking to advance them to increasingly higher financialcommitments.
Directlysolicitindividual donors across all levels of support,includingDirector’s Circledonors of $5,000+, Circle PlacesSocietydonorsof $250–$4,999,andsustaining donorsof $10–$249.
Withguidancefromthe Director of Development, curate cultivation, stewardship, recognition,and engagementopportunitiesfordonors at all levelsin collaborationwithleadersacrossArtistic, Production,Education,and Marketing.
Developandmanagemulti-channel fundraisingstrategiesfor donors at all levels, includingscheduling,projectmanagement,databasestructure, and audience segmentation.
Assistin the identification of potential board of director candidates from within the Company’s individual giving donorbase.
Pullappropriate listsand reports from Tessitura to analyze and interpret data to help guide departmental strategy anddirection.
Maintain a working familiarity with departmental annualgoals andbudget.

MANAGEMENT
Directly supervise two Development team members.
Carefullymonitorand regularly review team performancetoward goals andobjectives.
Oversee relationships with key vendors, such as graphic designers, printers, e-commerceproviders,etc.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
A minimum of3-5years innonprofit fundraising
Experience with directdonorsolicitation,meaningful donor cultivationand stewardship,database integrity,andteammanagement.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills,interpersonal skills, andproject management skills
Ability to develop meaningfulrelationships withdonors.
Knowledge of Chicago’s arts and culturephilanthropic environment
Strong managerial, organizational,analyticaland critical thinking skills
Knowledge ofmulti-channel fundraisingprocesses
Ability to work independently andcollaboratively,set and coordinate priorities,manage multipleprojects,meetdeadlines, andworkeffectivelyunder pressure.
Ability to work evenings and weekends asrequired.
Experience witha CRMdatabase.
Knowledge ofmaintainingand updating a project management system, like Asana.
Skilled with Microsoft Office applications.
