Job summary

Arizona Public Service is seeking a Distribution Planning Engineer II/III to deliver technical engineering support, forecasts, and long-range plans for the distribution system. Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree or equivalent required for Engineer II/III.
• Two years of engineering-related experience for Engineer II; five years for Engineer III.
• Master's degree may substitute for one year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare engineering plans, designs, analyses, cost estimates and technical reviews.
• Interface with customers and other departments to ensure objectives, budget and schedule.
• Enhance department performance through analysis and recommendations for improvements.
• Provide oversight of engineering programs and coordinate cross-organizational actions.
• Manage small- to medium-scale projects including planning, design, and scheduling.
• Provide technical guidance and leadership to less experienced engineers.
• Contribute to long-range strategies for site problems and efficiency improvements.
• Ensure compliance with design standards, codes and regulatory requirements.
• Remain aware of current technology and industry developments.
