Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking an Electrical Engineer to lead a project team focused on electric utility distribution design in a hybrid work model in Warrenville, IL. You will prepare and review construction sketches for 4 kV through 38 kV systems, perform analyses, and manage BOMs, cost estimates, and joint use coordination.

You will also support project scoping, field work, and maintenance efforts, while guiding complex tasks and communicating with clients as needed.

Qualifications

• Requires ABET-accredited engineering degree.
• Two+ years of experience with electric utility distribution or equivalent experience to review others' work.
• Familiarity with distribution design methods and applicable codes (NESC/NEC/IEEE) and software.
• Ability to lead a project team and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Prepare/review construction sketches and work packages for distribution facilities (4 KV–38 KV).
• Perform pole loading analyses, voltage drop and flicker calculations, cable pulling, BOM, cost estimates and joint use coordination.
• Support project scoping, field work, and maintenance/recapitalization of distribution components.
• Plan system modifications and oversee complex tasks; provide construction support as needed.
• Conduct client communication and interactions as required.
