Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking an engineer/designer to prepare sketches, work packages, and cost estimates for 4 kV through 38 kV distribution facilities. The role includes field support, project scoping, and coordination with clients.

Proficiency in AutoCAD or MicroStation is required, along with experience in distribution design and familiarity with NESC, NEC, ANSI, and IEEE standards. Hybrid work arrangement offered.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Drafting or higher, or equivalent.
• 3+ years of drafting coursework or related technical experience.
• Minimum 5 years of distribution design experience.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.
• Ability to visualize systems without CAD assistance.
• Knowledge of design techniques for technical plans and drawings.
• Familiar with design codes and standards (NESC/NEC/ANSI/IEEE).

Responsibilities

• Prepare/Review sketches and work packages for distribution facilities and related tasks.
• Support preliminary project scoping and field work when needed.
• Assist in maintenance and recapitalization of distribution components.
• Plan system modifications and oversee complex tasks.
• Provide construction support and client interaction as needed.
