Job summary
Sargent & Lundy in Cranberry Township, PA, seeks an engineer with drafting and distribution design experience to join a project team. This role offers a hybrid arrangement with three days in the office and two remote days, and you will lead engineers and designers on complex overhead and underground distribution projects.
Key duties include preparing construction sketches, BOMs, cost estimates, and traffic control plans, reviewing work packages, and providing field support as needed, while
Qualifications
- Associates in Drafting and/or Bachelor's in Engineering Technology or related
- 3+ years drafting coursework or equivalent technical experience
- 5+ years distribution design experience
- Proficient with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation
- Ability to visualize systems without computer aid
- Knowledge of design techniques for technical plans/drawings/models
- Familiarity with NESC/NEC/ANSI/IEEE; GIS/GWD
- Experience with 120/208V through 34kV distribution projects
- Strong communication skills
Responsibilities
- Prepare/Review construction sketches and work packages for distribution facilities (4 KV through 38 KV)
- Lead engineers and designers in project teams
- Perform field work when necessary
- Support maintenance and recapitalization of distribution components
- Plan system modifications and oversee complex tasks
- Provide construction support and client communication
