Job summary

California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES) seeks an experienced Analyst II to perform complex analytics for federal and state disaster grant programs within Recovery Operations.

The role involves evaluating the PA, CDAA, FMAG, HMGP, HMEP, PDM, FMA, and IRC grants, meeting deadlines, and guiding management on program alternatives while potentially leading Analysts I and support staff.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to analyze and solve complex problems and recommend action.
• Proficiency with data tools including Excel, Power BI, Tableau, and Salesforce.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex analytical tasks for PA/Disaster Grant programs.
• Develop policies, procedures, grants, and recommendations for program issues.
• Communicate findings effectively in writing and orally; manage short-term projects.
