Job summary

District Management Group (DMGroup) seeks a Director to join our DMConsulting team in Boston. The Director will own a portfolio of client engagements, lead business development conversations, and contribute to DMGroup’s methodologies and external presence.

This role reports to senior leadership and guides a team of Associates and Senior Associates in delivering high-impact strategies for public school systems.

Qualifications

• MBA (preferred)
• 6–8 years in a leading strategy consulting firm or education organization
• Proven ability to lead business development conversations with senior clients
• Strong leadership and team-building capabilities
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Own a portfolio of client relationships and serve as the senior point of contact for district leadership.
• Lead business development activity across consulting, membership, and technology solutions; drive opportunities to close with CEO support.
• Own and develop a practice area; refine methodologies and tools; act as an internal expert and external voice.
• Represent DMGroup through publications and conferences; build visibility in the education sector.
• Manage and direct multiple engagements; ensure objectives, timelines, and budgets are met with high quality.
• Provide coaching to Associates and Senior Associates; identify growth opportunities across the firm.
