Job summary

CDM Smith Inc. in the United States is seeking a highly experienced Digital Products & Services Project Manager to oversee a blended portfolio of standard SaaS implementations and custom professional services for public sector clients.

The role balances structured software deployments with high-value consulting engagements, manages data integrations, roadmaps, forecasting, and cost controls, and requires travel up to 10% or more as needed to support project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree.
• 5 years of related experience.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Blended Portfolio Management: Oversee and serve as the primary Project Manager for a hybrid mix of standard SaaS product implementations and custom digital services of moderate to high complexity.
• Product Implementation Governance: Partner with the CS team to orchestrate software product deployments across project sizes; ensure tenancy configuration, cloud deployment, mobile setups, user profiles, and training milestones.
• Custom Services & Roadmap Delivery: Manage and deliver custom digital services, including data integration architectures and custom programming sprints.
• Rigorous Monthly Forecasting & Re-Budgeting: Create detailed project forecasts monthly; re-allocate labor funds and ensure forecasts track execution paths.
• Proactive Account Governance & Cleanup: Conduct baseline portfolio cleanups and approve closeouts when contracts end and invoices are paid.
• Aggressive Cash-Flow & Invoicing Protection: Manage billing gaps with task-level invoice accuracy and timely submission.
• Contractual Boundary Enforcement: Enforce lines between Fixed-Fee Subscriptions and Time & Materials engagements and handle scope changes.
• Data Integration Pipeline Management: Coordinate complex utility data integration efforts across GIS, field mapping, and SCADA systems.
• Strategic Leadership Escalation: Maintain transparency with Delivery Leader on commercial risks and term anomalies; propose workarounds.
• Authoritative Client and Matrix Leadership: Translate client requests into actionable tasks for developers and analysts.
